My journey began with an unexpected guest, a tiny local puppy from my brother's kennel. This little one, an 
"askal" or stray dog, as we call them in the Philippines, was not what I had imagined for my first pet. But 
life has a funny way of surprising us, doesn't it?

In just three days, this tiny trespasser fell ill, and I found myself crying, realizing that he had already 
carved a special place in my heart. That day, I took him to the vet and pledged to give him all the love and 
care he deserved.

This experience opened my eyes and heart to unconditional love. It deepened my love for dogs and even inspired 
me to start my own shelter. Through the highs and lows, the challenges and rewards, this little stray dog has 
truly transformed my life.
