Being A Friend

Real friends are those who, when you be made a fool of yourself, don't feel that you've done a permanent job - Erwin T. Randall

Real friends are those who, when you make a fool of yourself, don't see it as a permanent flaw. They understand that everyone makes mistakes and that embarrassing moments are simply a part of life. These are the kind of friends we should surround ourselves with – people who lift us up instead of tearing us down.

When we choose friends who laugh at us or put others down, it reflects a deeper insecurity within ourselves. It shows that we may not fully value and respect who we are. However, if we want to be the best version of ourselves, we need to surround ourselves with friends who see the good in life and encourage us to be our authentic selves.

Our self-image is a powerful force that guides our behavior and determines who we become. Just like a blueprint for a house, the way we see ourselves shapes our actions and interactions with the world. If we believe in our abilities and strengths, we approach challenges with confidence and determination. On the other hand, if we see ourselves as inadequate or unworthy, we may shy away from opportunities and limit our potential.

The beauty is that we have the power to change our self-image and, consequently, change our behavior. By consciously choosing to see ourselves in a positive light, we can begin to transform our thoughts and actions. When we carry a picture of self-assurance, resilience, and kindness in our minds, we project that energy into the world, attracting people and experiences that align with our true potential.

So, take a moment to reflect on your friendships and ask yourself how you can be a better friend today. Are you surrounding yourself with people who uplift and support you? Additionally, consider your self-image. Do you have a positive picture of yourself today? If not, take the opportunity to rewrite the narrative and cultivate a mindset that empowers you to be the best version of yourself. Remember, you have the power to shape your reality through the way you perceive yourself.
